DutiesResponsible for completing major and minor repairs and routine maintenance of motorvehicles and buses. Duties may also include parts inventory, snowplowing,completing necessary reports, emergency response, and shop maintenance.Salary$17.25 – $34.98 per hour, plus full-time benefits per the RHEA, Facilities & Mechanics ChapterQualificationMust currently hold the Civil Service title of Automotive Mechanics, OR have an AAS degree in automotive technology or related field, OR have 2 years full-time experienceas a journeyman-level auto mechanic, OR have 5 years full-time experience as a mechanic under the supervision of a journeyman-level mechanic.Must have a CDL with passenger endorsement, or must obtain within 6 months of appointment. Must obtain 19A certification upon appointment. Must have own toolsand ability to lift 75 pounds. Must have ability to work in unpleasant conditions including extreme hot/cold, fumes/odors, and wet or cramped areas.
