This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to electrical codes, and a willingness to learn the trade. You will be expected to support journeymen and foremen in various tasks while gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills.As an apprentice Electrician you will:Assist with the installation of electrical raceways, wiring, fixtures, and equipmentPull wires, mount panels, and help with electrical terminationsFollow work instructions and safety procedures as directed by supervisors and foremenUse and maintain protective equipment and safety gear providedRead and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and work ordersMeasure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using various toolsHelp troubleshoot electrical issues and assist in repairsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentParticipate in training and educational opportunities to advance technical skillsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic knowledge of electrical systems and componentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsEnrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship programValid Apprentice LicensePrevious experience in electrical workWorking Environment & Conditions/Physical RequirementsStanding for extended periodsClimbing ladders and working at heightsWorking in noisy, dusty, or extreme weather conditionsLifting or moving objects up to 75 lbsOccasional travel may be required depending on project locationPossible overtime and night work as neededEquipment or Tools Routinely UsedHand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, and wire strippersPower tools including drills and sawsElectrical testing equipment such as multimetersLadders, levels, and measuring instrumentsBenefitsAt Edge Electric, we are committed to the well-being, professional growth, and financial security of our employees.
