Company OverviewAmerican Well Services is located in Midland, TX and provides well service rigs for the purpose of workover or completion operations. Along with the well service rigs, AWS offers a wide range of additional wellsite support services including, fluid transfer, fishing and rental services, hot oiling, frac tank rental and wellsite construction. American Well Services provides a full suite of completions and workover solutions to customers in the Permian Basin.Position OverviewA Mixing Plant Operator is accountable for the safe operation of assigned mixing plant equipment. The Mixing Plant Operator will also be responsible for running mixing plant coil tubing and stick pipe drill outs and a complete understanding of fluids and chemicals compatibilities.ResponsibilitiesService and maintain mixing plant equipmentPerform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain appropriate maintenance recordsSafely operate pumps for the transfer of liquidMaintain and record accurate tank fluid levelsSafely rig up and rig down fluid mixing plant on coil tubing unit, stick pipe drill outs or workover locationsSafely rig up mixing plant to reverse pumps for stick pipe units, coil tubing pump trucksMix chemicals to control downhole pressuresCommunicate with appropriate on-site crews and/or company representative to use correct chemical quantities based on well conditionsSafely rig up and rig down equipment used for mixing plant operationsFollows and supports all AWS HSE policies, procedures and best practicesKnows and uses appropriate PPE at all timesDrives company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off road situations including two track roadsPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor/managementExperience/QualificationsMinimum of one (1) year experience running mixing plant, coil tubing and stick pipe drill outs, requiredDemonstrate knowledge of fluid and chemical compatibilities, requiredKnowledge Aphron Light Weight Fluid systems, preferredPrior experience working with computer based workorder system, preferred Prior experience with KPA, preferredBasic math skills problem solving and organizational skills, requiredMaintain valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR, requiredClass A (CDL), preferredAbility to communicate, read & write in English, requiredAble to multi-task in a fast paced environment Mobility, including entering confined spaces, enter areas by the use of ladders or other access device up to 15 feetDemonstrates ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with customers, visitors, vendors, and other employeesExperience working rotational shift work, working in inclement weather, and/or manual labor experience, preferredAbility to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements, requiredProof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law, requiredPhysical ConditionsAble to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on routine basisSpecific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color visionAble to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/coldWork environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
