Straight time overtime, 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), and/or 1 day of telework per week may be available**Duties And ResponsibilitiesSome of your major responsibilities will include:The Systems Engineer (SE) will be supporting the Lunar Camera Surface for the Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP) .Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documentsDevelop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineeringConduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification, and validation activitiesWork with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verificationsPerform system engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design processWork with ground testing and flight operations testing of hardware with end item documentationReview verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirementsParticipate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviewsParticipate and contribute to support the development of Lunar Con-OpsPerform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performanceParticipate in test, verification, and operation of the as-built hardwareWork with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responsesWork and present schedule and progress to customersMust have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environmentPerform other duties as required. QualificationsREQUIRED:A BS Engineering degree from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience10 years’ of relevant experience in systems engineeringMust be on site in B44. (Situational telework only).Knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies including model based systems engineeringKnowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirementsKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selectionAbility to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetingsAble to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervisionExperience working in a team environment.PreferedKnowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork.Experience with NASA processes (including EA-023.).Knowledge and experience with DOORS Next Generation.Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
