Max Aerostructures is seeking an Assembly Mechanic to join our growing team in Wichita. We will train those who do not have the skill set outlined below.RequirementsApplicants must demonstrate they have the ambition, strong work ethic, knowledge, and technical aptitude to perform a variety of assembly functions according to detailed specifications and meet strict quality requirements. Applicants must be familiar with the following:Power Feed DrillingAir gauge, Hole Micrometers .Close Tolerance hole drilling, reaming, hone. (step up process)Close tolerance fasteners (Hy-locks)Use of liquid nitrogen during pin and interference fit bolt installationsManual and mechanical swaging of bearingsBushing installationCap SealingRework and or repair of complex assembliesQualificationsMinimum of three years of experience in aircraft/aerospace manufacturing assembly – experience with complicated and varied assemblies preferredAbility to read and interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and other work instructionsHigh level of experience with various assembly processesExperience with application of sealants, primers, paints, cleaning agents, hand and power tools used in assembly processesEducation And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Must have strong work ethic, drive to achieve high levels of performance and can demonstrate a detail-oriented nature and on-time attendance dependability.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat and walk on a regular basis.Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.Must wear gloves, eyes & ear protection and adhere to safety procedures at all times.Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
