We own and operate custom designed drilling rigs and workover rigs.Signal Hill Petroleum is looking for a Community Relations SpecialistCompany BenefitsCompetitive compensationGreat Health Benefits which include Medical, Dental, and Vision plans401(k) plan with strong Employer matchJob ResponsibilitiesServe as an advocate for Signal Hill Petroleum, Inc. to build and maintain positive relationships with the public, local residences and businesses, city and government officials and staff, non-profit organizations, universities, and schools.Networking with various community groups and influential community leaders.Coordinate relations and contacts with community groups and be abreast of the latest situations in the area by proactive visits.Organizational Communications – Assist employer in the creation and delivery of news and other information to both the internal and external population.Write, research, and prepare materials for distribution regarding political advocacy of Company’s position on Energy which may include digital presentation material for public speaking events.Manage confidential material, which requires discretion and diplomacy.Interact with other support staff to ensure coordination of all projects.Collaborates with multiple departments to coordinate and distribute public notifications related to operational activities.Manage the company’s social media channels by creating and executing engaging content that supports outreach, branding, and community engagementAssist with other company projects at the direction of the Manager.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other CharacteristicsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent inter-personal skills for dealing with company employees and the public.Professional appearance and image.Requirements degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration or Political Science preferred.
