Position Title: Electrician Reports To: Manager CI/TPM/Facilities Location: PhoenixFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDirect Reports: NoneSummary Of PositionThis position is responsible for performing skilled electrical duties in the repair and service of facilities and equipment. The position works with all levels of employees throughout the organization as necessary, but does not directly or indirectly supervise any other employees. This position reports to the Manager CI/TPM/Facilities in the Continuous Improvement Department.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below. This list is not all inclusive and may be amended by Northstar, from time to time.Perform skilled electrical duties in the repair and service of facilities and equipmentInterpret blueprints, schematics, drawings and/or standards for the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring, fixtures and appliancesEnsure work performed is completed in compliance with national and local building codesComplete routine inspections and make emergency service callsPerform other duties appropriate to the assignmentOrder and estimate materials and costsUsing Excel and Microsoft Word to generate reports and chartsRepair, replace or modify existing services to update or conform with new requirementsTest electrical apparatuses with various meters to detect short, worn out or weak components and defective connectionsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position will not direct the work of any other employees.Physical RequirementsThe physical requirements of this position are listed below. Experience with commercial electrical system 227v, 480vKnowledge, Skills And Abilities Required And/Or PreferredThe knowledge, skills and abilities required and/or preferred for this position are listed below.
