We work in a highly dynamic environment where collaboration and idea sharing are a way of life.About The JobWe are looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Quonset, RI. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a manufacturing engineering team over a subset of Anduril’s products to drive process improvements, ensure the highest quality of production, and support the development and implementation of new products. You will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and increasing efficiencies on existing technologies while also developing new products and scaling to full scale production.This role will be based in our Quincy, MA location until Q4 of 2025. Following this period, the successful candidate will be expected to work out of our new Quonset, RI facility. Based on eligibility, relocation assistance may be available.What You’ll DoLead and directly manage a small team of manufacturing engineers overseeing a product line or distinct value-stream within manufacturingRun weekly 1v1 / team meetings, set prioritization focus, coordinate team scheduling, and provide concise status reportingExtremely high level of product ownership and adherence to manufacturing engineering best practicesOrganize DFX efforts and ensure timely completion of production readiness deliverablesMentor and support junior manufacturing engineers and serve as a role model for manufacturing excellenceDeliver escalations to management with potential blockers, well-informed risk mitigation plans, and help neededDevelop and execute strategic plans for manufacturing capacity and optimizationSet standard for creation and review of technical drawings, blueprints, and process mapsOversee the execution of manufacturing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standardsCoordinate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth production ramp-up for new productsRequired QualificationsDegree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science7+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardwareDemonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examplesDemonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environmentPersonal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.) Work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plus.A strong passion manufacturing and thirst for continuous improvementU.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled dataEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience in maritime robotics (AUVs, UUVs, USVs, subsea sensors)Experience working with electrical systems up to 400VDcSubsea cable splicing or fabrication experienceExperience with pressure vessels and/or industrial pressure test equipmentPrior experience working with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalentsExperience with large scale high mix manufacturing at different stages of product maturityUS Salary Range$128,000—$192,000 USDBenefitsThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
