Job Description

Job RequirementsA minimum 5 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/TechnicianOperates and inspects cranes in order to diagnose defectsDemonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS & MEGA-TRACK systemExamines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gaugesReads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawingsPower wash and clean equipmentTests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specificationsPrepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completenessCapable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervisionPerform thorough and accurate annual inspectionsMaintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulationsProperly fills out working reports, hour’s reports, time sheets, hour’s overviews and expense reportsInternational TravelsAbility to work overtime as well as limited weekendsA minimum of 3 years of relevant driving experienceValid driver’s license and satisfactory driving recordPreferred QualificationsHistory of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/ or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks; Manitex Boom Trucks and CranesSets a positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas/Field Service Trucks clean & orderly plus promoting safety regulations and all other company programsAbility to lift up to 40lbsBasic computer skillsFull set of hand tools up to 1.5 inchesManufacture approved training/certifications preferred but not requiredBL Harbert International is an EEO/Disabilities/Vets
