Job DescriptionCaltex Oil Tools is seeking Offshore Service Technicians with a passion to operate, service, and build electro hydromechanical systems. This position will require travel for up to 40-50%.Pay is based upon experience. $20.00 – $35.00 an hour plus overtime pay, and additional day rate pay for offsite projects. Job Description Operate subsea equipment and perform maintenance in both onshore and offshore environments. The Service Technician will travel offshore for varying durations to execute project scopes using subsea equipment. Subsea equipment types range from electro-hydraulic ROV tools, Light Well Intervention Systems, Pipeline Intervention Systems, commissioning hardware and more.Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and their associated subsystems. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment to determine fault and provide resolution to maintain project uptime.Work with project teams to develop concepts into real world service equipment utilizing hands on experience to drive equipment optimization for service and operational reliability. Interface equipment and project specific hardware onto a vessel/facility and work with ROV to aid in effectively and safely completing offshore projects. Work in a respectful and professional manner with fellow employees, management, and clients.Qualifications Knowledge of how to maintain, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and mechanical assembliesMinimum of 2 years of offshore service experience, or equivalentProficient in the Microsoft suite of productsStrong organizational and communication skillsExperience in deep water, subsea, and ROV operations is a plusWorking ConditionsThis position is considered offshore and onshore work which is characterized as follows.Work in an offshore environment for up to 28 days at a time. Outdoors/indoors, day/night, over/near waterWork on/near moving and/or vibrating equipmentComfortable working in humidity above 90%, noise over 85 decibels, intense light/glareWork in vicinity of high-pressure hydraulics, high-voltage electrical equipmentPotential exposure to open fire/flames/sparksConstant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, gasesWork surface is stable, height is elevatedInternational travel may be requiredResponsibilities Report daily activities and operations to managementWork individually and within team environmentsFollow company policies, guidelines, and proceduresWork efficiently in dynamic work environmentsFollow procedures, manuals, and work instructions specific to the projectComfortable with taking on new responsibilitiesPrioritize safety and qualityMaintain respectful attitudeTechnical Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of hydraulic connection types and their appropriate applications. Proficient at troubleshooting of hydraulic and mechanical systems and subcomponentsAbility to assemble and test hydraulic and mechanical assemblies according to provided specifications.
