Florida Power Management is seeking an experienced Electrician.In the Solar Electrician role, you will work on residential and commercial locations for our busy solar and battery storage company. You should have solid skills in troubleshooting electrical problems and and knowledge of proper safety practices and procedures.What You’ll Do:Install Battery Storage systems including Tesla Powerwall, and tie in solar electric systemsTest electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibilityDocument actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situationRepair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devicesDetermine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and mapsMaintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisorUse ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential homes, on roadside poles and in commercial propertiesAnswer emergency calls quickly, assess the safety of the situation upon first arriving at the scene and provide directions to individuals affected by the electrical emergency to ensure their continued safety and comfortMaintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisorYou’re a Great Fit If You Have:Excellent customer service skills required3+ years of experience in solar service work and system troubleshootingWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniquesStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyProficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codesAbility to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environmentsMust have a valid state driver’s licenseMust have a clean driving record (example- no DUI in the last 5 years)Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screenBenefits And CompensationAt Florida Power Management, we offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:401(k) with company matchFlexible scheduleHealth insurance, including medical, dental, and visionOpportunities for advancementPaid time offPaid trainingProfessional development assistanceTuition reimbursementHourly Rate: $28 – $35 per hour commensurate with experience.
